hmmm...

My masculine Valentine didn't seem to go over too well with my viewers - we made it as a hostess club project this month and I think it's just one of those cards that looks better in person. {Can I convince myself of that?!?}

So back to super cute! tee hee... This week's tutorial from SCS was a sliding card that pops up. During Thanksgiving I made a different type of stand up card and you can see it here. This one had pretty clear instructions and once I wrapped my brain around it, it worked! I did cut my "pop up" supports smaller because my mouse was quite tiny for the card and I mounted her on an embossed Nestabilities Label. I love that The Angel Company carries these now too - my collection continues to grow. I've been eyeing the scalloped circles but held off so far. Still, Sunday is my birthday so I may just have to treat myself!!

Here is the card closed...although the top panel is popping up a bit because I have the card tilted up.

Now standing open - the hidden message appears! I really wish I hadn't added the stickles to the heart...it looks better in person and I scraped off the extra so it wouldn't look so lumpy. Don't you hate it when you ruin a card with that last "extra touch"!?!? argh...

Just one more angle.

Card Materials: all stamps and papers from The Angel Company
Stamps: Lucy, You Are
Accessories: Maggie Soar with it Collection (double sided paper), nestabilities, CB script embossing folder, stickles, copics, Scor Pal

I truly hope you have a great weekend! I can't believe that January is already half over...yikes! Don't forget to take advantage of the triple rewards if there is anything you "needed"...it's a great time right now. My last hostess couldn't believe that she got 9 free Gift/Purchase with Purchase stamps and three Level A stamp sets for free.
