Fabulous February - Cupcake Cuties

Today Mabelle is the guest designer over on The Angel Company's Savvy Project's Blog!! She is the illustrator of this adorable and sweet line ... and if you think she can draw, wait until you see how she can color!!! I am going back to study her cards - there are just so many wonderful details!

I did my best to color up this little cutie with my Copic markers. I realized halfway into my coloring that I didn't have her stamped on copic friendly paper and now I can see how important this really is! My colors did not want to blend and move around on the paper as they normally would. I think I may have spoilt her in the end but once again, I felt like really mixing things up and I embossed right over her with an embossing folder! Crazy, I know. :) PS. If you click on either picture, you'll get a better view!

CARD SUPPLIES: Cupcake Cuties R-2050, Toodle Loo Soar with it Collection V-834, misc. CB embossing folders, recycled white ribbon from one of my birthday presents, copic markers

Don't forget that this is also a blog hop so you have a chance to play along with this set. PLUS...you still have one more day to enter the Retiform Blog Hop in which you can use ANY set from The Angel Company! And, there are PRIZES involved!! {big grin}

I love the way you cuttlebugged over your big image, Chris! Of course, you know I'm partial to such things. ;) Lovely card!

You did a GREAT job Chris! Do you know that those reds and pink tones are among the HARDest to work with! OMGoodness I struggle with these colors! The paper truly makes a big difference, however, that color palette has a HUGE learning curve! I think you did awesome!

What a fun way to put an off track card back on track in a creative way! I have too many that never get finished when I face a challenge. Fun card Chris.
