Odds n Ends

After I glued everything down and took a picture of my card, I realized that I should have trimmed out the inside of the chair. sigh...I tried to lift it up but since the glue had dried overnight, there was just no way that was going to happen!

I had these flowers punched out and I just spritzed them with some water to help them crumple up more easily, then I inked them around the edges with the same brown I stamped the chair image. Just some simple layering of some scraps I had and I like the end results...even though it's a bit dark, probably better save it for fall!

Card Materials: all stamps and papers from The Angel Company
Stamps: Chair-ished
Accessories: Olive Cardstock, Penelope Soar with it Collection, Flower punch, button, twine, lace, Versamark Dazzle ink

I hope you have a great weekend! I'll be back on Monday with some musings of my take on the new catalog...I just love this new outlook. And...I'll be offering up some blog candy so stay tuned!

PS. If you saw my last post with the chicken card, here's a little update on how I'll be getting the "evil eye" from them for a while! It is HOT here in DC...they said the heat index was about 110 at 7 pm. My chickens must be sweltering under all of those down feathers - in fact, one really was suffering and panting harder then the rest. I brought down a fan from the attic and unrolled a long electrical cord and set it up outside, in front of my chicken coop. I thought they'd love the light breeze and the lawnmower doesn't scare them so I figured it would be okay. WRONG! They panicked and try to fly over each other and it was total craziness...I probably gave them a stroke. Oh well, they seem okay this morning! Phew...because it's going to be another hot one. Stay cool!

Love this card and stamp set! I can't wait to use mine!

Hope your chickens are doing OK. Has it cooled down any there? Hopefully they are able to cool off somehow, without being scared! I just heard that we have been over 100 degrees the past 29 days, with no rain!! I want to go back to Alaska weather!!

Sure wish they had spell check on here...sorry about the delete!
