Blog Candy, Fall Supplement & Last Cardstock Match!

Yup! It's a big day here! I got my Fall Supplement in the mail yesterday from TAC and it is packed with little idea cards as well as some great new stamp images. I'm ordering my extra copies today to send out to those to those customers that participated in my preorder special! I'm also posting my last in the series of Cardstock Color matches...to access them easily you can just click on the right sidebar below and choose "color matches" for the whole batch. I wanted to show you how beautifully TAC cardstock matches not only other papers in the Soar With It Collection (SWIC) but with other papers as well, like DCWV. This is one of my favorite combos and I had a card published in the catalog using it (the Elephant Take Pride card)....

Cardstock Color matches - only 1 to go!

These colors can only be appreciated when you hold them in your hands. The neat thing about our SWIC cardstock papers is that they are made by Bazzill. I may have mentioned it before, but they include the lovely textures that they are famous for!

Well, there's just one more color match to go so I hope you join me tomorrow for the reveal of my blog candy! And, if you want all of these families in one handy dandy PDF file, I will have the details on that too (not that I mind you popping back to my blog to check them out).

Another great cardstock package for scrapbooking kids pages...or for the child at heart!


My Open House went great and I really had a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who dropped by! Here were the two projects I finally settled on! This was my prototype for the acrylic box I found on SCS here. But I had a 25% off coupon burning a hole in my pocket so I splurged on the Martha Stewart drippy edge punch and the guests at my Open House used that. I had to increase the template size for one of the "lids" to a 3 inch width to accomodate for the punch - don't forget that part! We used Happy Haunting for this box but any of the new halloween stamps in the Fall Supplement would be perfect too!

Psst! Do you know that candy corn comes in Candy Apple and Indian Corn flavors now? So yummy!!

Here I used a Hostess Level A set (it's a perfect time to earn yours with Double Dip rewards going on!), More Abundance and Artsy Elements. I also used TAC's Kraft paper as my card base and I can't tell you how much I love that paper! If you haven't tried it, you won't be disappointed in it's weight at all!

Cardstock Matches - continued!

Today has been super busy! I've been preparing this week for my Open House on Friday and can't wait to post my projects next week...they are a work in process. Do you ever have an idea, sit down and "create" and then think...yuck! That's where I'm at and the clock is ticking. I'm on round two of creations. Wish me luck.

I also have the Wing It, Classic Soar With It and Designer Collection matches but I'll save those for another time!

I do hope you are getting an appreciation for these lovely colors...I don't think the catalog can do them justice!

Hanna's Havoc and Cardstock Matches

Miss Moxie reminds me of a circus or carnival...the colors are so cheerful and lively! Our crawl space is dry at last, but just so you don't think I was too much of an alarmist, here is a photo of my son's football game fields. The good news -- the sun is out again!

I'm off to rent a sump pump because my craft storage room is about 1 inch above the waterline in our crawl space right now!! eeckk!!! We are having a much needed rain, true, but a whole summer's worth just hit!

But, since I already missed posting yesterday, I didn't want to be a slacker! Enjoy these soothing colors.

Back on Track...more Cardstock Matches!

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. Ours passed by in a whirlwind and I have said goodbye to my two darlings as they left for their first day back to school. I was looking forward to having some "free" time during the day (ie. crafting time when you don't feel guilty that you should be doing something else!) but now I have a sadness inside and I know I miss them. Still, I have lots to do before the school bell rings again for the end of the day and even then it continues as I'll be setting up for a concession stand at tonight's football practice...

But back to more wonderful Cardstock Matches from TAC. I hope you enjoy the limitless possiblities this brings.

Cardstock Matches - cha cha cha!

Today has been super hectic...dropped off a Caeser pasta/romaine lettuce salad for the teacher's luncheon (it looked great! Got the idea at the deli counter at Whole Foods); tried to meet my sister and her kids at the National Zoo in Washington DC and after two attempts to drive there finally gave up since my Google map directions were for the first time, worthless; finished up school supply shopping, bought another pair of funky Converse for my tween and raced over to the school for my son's Open House. Phew...now I am home with laundry to wash, fold and just a general picking up of the house. But first...I have to post another cardstock color match!


Oh...I can't forget football practice tonight either. I know your days are equally busy...hang in there, it's almost the weekend!

I hope you are enjoying these color combinations as much as I do. Often I grab my Tombow markers or Prismacolored pencils to match these color schemes to get perfect results in my coloring. Well, near perfect! tee hee...

Cool beans! We've always insisted that The Angel Company did have matching cardstock, and now here is an easy chart to see it and follow. I will be posting these color families daily and will feature some blog candy at the end.
