One sketch...two cards

When I first bought the soon to be retired, Hang Loose set, I think it was the station wagon that drew me in the most. I remembered the green station wagon my family drove, complete with wood veneer panels. I loved it when I first saw it new but hated it when it got old and shabby looking. Still, we had many wonderful family trips in it and so that is the inspiration behind today's card. Some retro colors in honor of that car...I think my folks will enjoy the sentiment (from It's the Little Things) since it's so true. Perfect Father's Day card, now that I think of it!

The other card was just a quick birthday card for my son to take to a party. The neatest thing was when he came home to tell me how much all of the other boys there loved it. They were quite impressed when he told them I had made it and NOT bought it! I did dress is up with some huge, bright orange brads I had from Joann's clearance aisle. I've had them forever but they were perfect for this card.
