Wrap it Up!

Yesterday I had a great group of ladies come over for my Wrap it Up! class...it featured some quick gift giving container ideas and in the handouts, I included a few fun recipes. One was for a 9 Minute Peanut Brittle which I share at the end...I hadn't ever made it before so while they were busying cutting and scoring, taping and stamping - I made the most delicious peanut brittle ever and it was just 9 min! So easy - the worst part was cleaning the bowl and I just left in the the sink to soak for an hour or two. :)

Here are a couple of the projects we made...This cute little guy is free with a $30 order from The Angel Company and right now the rewards are doubled! You do need to contact me directly though to get the freebies so if you need anything, just drop me a note!

We included a little insert to make this the perfect jewelry gift box but I can see it stuffed with chocolates too!

Here is a nifty box that I found on the internet...it was the most difficult of our projects but in the end, everyone mastered it despite my writing down a wrong measurement!

I love this Vintage Santa set from TAC - I can use the whole collage image or stamp just a portion of it for a totally different look.

This recipe is from the Gooseberry Patch Christmas 2010 magazine...

9 Minute Microwave Peanut Brittle

1 c. sugar
1 c. lightly salted peanuts
½ c. corn syrup
1 t. vanilla extract
1 t. butter, softened
1 t. baking soda

Microwave sugar, peanuts and corn syrup in a large microwave-safe bowl on high for 4 min; stir. Reduce power to medium and microwave for 3 minutes. Stir in vanilla and butter. Continue to microwave on medium for 2 min. Remove from microwave and stir in baking soda (mixture will foam). Pour onto lightly greased aluminum foil to cool. Break into pieces. Makes ¾ pound.

Thanks for coming by today to visit my blog...I know it's been very hit or miss these past few days. I turned down subbing jobs today and yesterday because I just need to catch my breath - I have 157 unread blog posts in my Google Reader and I know each one of you is equally busy so I do so appreciate your time!

Today is the last day to get in on my raffle - details in the post below. And don't miss out on those great specials The Angel Comany has going on...one more popped up and I wanted to share it yet here...
