Technique Blog Hop - Chalks

The Angel Company is having a blog hop this weekend featuring chalks! If you are like me, you bought them ages ago and they usually are the last coloring method you choose to pull out...but once you, it's so worth it!

I normally apply my chalks with a Dove blender pen. That allows me to shade and seal in one easy step. Sometimes, like on this image, I take the cotton ball and rub it over a bit in areas to add more color...



I used a gel pen to add some details like the red polka dots and the trim and crown are done in yellow.

Kiss Me!

Silly title, I know. But whenever I see this cute little frog I'm convinced he will turn into a prince if I kiss him!

This set was so generously given to me by my downline, Kelly R! Thanks again Kelly - I really appreciate it and I love it!!

My card uses just a piece of the Fruitti Fusion paper (still on sale and available for just $2 a pack! Check out all of the great sale items here) and I feel like the frog can really take the spotlight this way...it could be a boy card, but there's a lot of pink in here and I really feel like stamping "Kiss me" or "SWAK" on it! :)

I used my BIC markers to color him in...in case you are wondering, the COPIC blender does work with BIC markers. Juliet was wondering about this as well and predicted it would - we tested it out and it does work. I just need to figure how to use it properly...I can make lines and dots in the laid down color but I'm sure there is more to it!

Yup, More Mimi...and a chance to win!

I have been so busy with my More Mimi paper pack - since you get 5 sheets of 12 x 12 double sided paper (plus one of assorted tags) , there are just a lot of opportunities to make "pretty" things from this paper. And now with it being buy one, get one free I'm less hesitant to cut right into it! :)

This wonderful little gal is from one of the new releases, Fairytale Fun, in Serendipity Street...I was so happy when Angela, a fellow angel, sent me a stamped image so I could play with her. The layout is inspired by Kim from Sunshiny Days - that gal knows how to layer patterned paper!

I first discovered Kelleigh's templates when she generously donated a cupcake holder pattern to Jen Tapler's Stamping out Alzheimers fundraiser event. This week, Kelleigh finally had a chance to see what The Angel Company had to offer -- I don't think she had even heard of us before and I'm tickled how much she liked the paper and stamps! Snowmagedon!

eeck! We got hit hard by the snow storm...30 inches for sure and luckily our power was only out for about 6 hours (and in the night so we could atleast huddle under the covers!). So this weekend I spent the whole time shoveling, checking on the chickens and cooking...I hope to stamp today!!

Luckily last week I had a chance to play with some images that Angela K sent me - big hugs!! I love the Mabelle images from our catalogs and I'm getting some more of her sets with an order I have going in today. This little gal has got lots of sparkle...I added Prisma Glitter with my glue pen. The flower paper is from our Frutti Fusion package that is just $2 for 36 sheets...

I also used the Labels 4 Nestabilities that we now carry...woo hoo! { P.S. If you are looking online for the Spellbinder and Copic products, you'll find them under the SERENDIPITY tab - and then under ACCESSORIES}
