Seeing spots

I have another Valentine to post today! My friend Julie was going to have some of us over today to stamp for a great cause...Card Cupids. But the kids are home from school because of the rain/snow/ice that has been falling so I'll just have to work on my cards here from home.

I had fun with this card because I colored the image with Copics and then went to match my paper and yuck, the pinks were off with everything that I had! So, I went from there and made my own background piece to let the elephant shine. I stamped the Bitty Dots (the elephant and bitty dots stamps are free sets when you spend $30 over at The Angel Company - and right now you get 3 free until the end of January, woohoo!) in black and that looked nice, but I wanted some texture. My cyber friend, Kim McNutt, uses multiple textures ALL over her cards and it always makes them so interesting. I just lined up my CB folder up to the edge of the dots and embossed. Then I flipped the card around and did that to the other side...so easy and it really did add a lot to the card. I also used some tools I haven't in a while - my cropadile and Marvy scallop punch!

I hope you are having a safe, warm and happy Wednesday!

Call me!

tee hee...I know it's silly but it fits this card!

Another very quick valentine using a free Gift with Purchase stamp from The Angel Company and the spunky paper pack, Uptown Girl!

I used my Copics to color and a recycled ribbon from a package of fuzzy socks I bought my daughter! Super quick and easy! Hope you are having a great day! We had school delays due to the weather and I think I'll be cleaning the chicken coop today because snow does a number on the straw. yuck!

Lil Valentine

I have to admit that this little elephant grew on me when I sat down to color him/her in! So easy and so fun...

This paper from Uptown Girl is the perfect pairing for Valentine's Day cards...look for more of it to come, especially since I just ordered another pad during the half priced paper sale! :)

Card Materials: all stamps and papers from The Angel Company
Stamps: Saying retired, Trunk of Love (FREE with a $30 order x 2 this month!)
Accessories: Uptown Girl, DCWV, white gel pen, Copics

Did you make any New Year's resolutions? My husband made mine for me since I don't normally make any...excercise more and keep a cleaner house. Yikes, I have a lot to do today if I want to keep up those resolutions past the third day...tee hee...
