Non Winning Entry

Last week I posted my cards that won but I also entered the Card to Crop category and did not win that one. :)

My son looks so good though in the photo I used so I want to share it anyways. Once again I used the Sea Stamps!! I'm hooked on this set, I tell you. I'm excited from some of the sneak peeks I've seen of the new catalog that there will more collage type stamps available. Don't forget that the new catalog comes out THIS WEEKEND!!! eeck.

This contest is where you design a scrapbook page and a card that is based on the page...these are both quite simple layouts but I liked the clean, crisp look of it all. I hope you do too!

Don't forget!

  1. Last week to order the Final Farewells...stamps that are retiring are now 25% off.
  2. May/June Jubilation ends June 28th...there are some amazing stamp sets at unbelieveable prices, plus FREE gift with purchase stamps are back!
  3. New catalog comes out this weekend...have you preordered yours? I have a special deal for YOU!

Seriously...

is it Friday already?!?

Phew...the school day is over (I subbed 4 days again this week), I managed to make a card and buy some gifts for my husband's birthday (today), still have to make a Father's Day card ... and teacher cards, and thank you cards ... but that will wait until another day.

I have some exciting news to share with you! I won a card contest for The Angel Company demos ... and I'm really happy because I loved the way the cards turned out. It's called the Terrific Trio where you take two stamps sets and make 3 cards. I also entered the Card to Crop contest but didn't win that one - I'll be sharing my entry later because I did like the clean, crisp look of it.

Without further ado...here are my cards! {If you click on them, they get bigger}

Card Materials: all stamps and papers from The Angel Company
Stamps: Sea Stamps, Savvy Sayings
Accessories: Amberley Grace Soar with it Collection and cardstock

A big congratulations to the other winners - including my downline Kelly!! You can see all of the winners here.

Stamping with friends

Last week I had some ladies over to make birthday cards - it was a lot of fun and made a nice break to my substituting schedule. (The phone started ringing this morning at 5:15 but today I finally said no - I need a day to catch up on my chores, clean the chicken coop, get milk and I am volunteering at the school today too).

Here is one of the masculine cards we made - I told you I'm loving the Sea Stamps set! This one was inspired by a card I saw on the Embellish Magazine blog.

Card Materials:
Stamps: Sea Stamp, Happy Birthday (retired)
Accessories: TAC Kraft cardstock, black cardstock, watercolor paper, black embossing powder, Noir palette ink, Tombow markers, aquabrush, buttons, Nestabilities

The other card has lots and lots of glitter...chunky glitter on top of the cupcake and stickles around the outside. I'm not always a sparkly type of gal but this card just screamed for it and I think it turned out so cute. This cupcake is one of the Purchase with Purchase stamps that you can get for just $2.95 from The Angel Company. It's the cutest little thing and has a wonderful ice cream cone in the set and two smiley faces.

Card Materials:
Stamps: All Smiles
Accessories: My Minds Eye polka dot paper, TAC brown cardstock (this is really a nice dark brown). chunky glitter, Stickles, watercolor pencil and Dove blender pen

Hope you are in the middle of a terrific week!!

Sea Stamps

Didn't care for it the first time it came out, but recently I decided to order the Sea Stamps set because I've been enjoying making collages so much. I cut it out and couldn't stop playing! In fact, I entered two contests for The Angel Company demos this month with it. Here is a sneak peek at just one of my card entries...Cross your fingers for me!

I think the images are perfect for both men and women...

My husband and I powerwashed gutters and the deck today - have to stain it tomorrow. So much for our weekend get away plans, sigh...
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. To sweeten your Memorial Day, if you place an order with me on Monday, May 31 before midnight, you can pick out your favorite color of stickles - one with each $30 increment! Just shoot me an email...
