Cardstock Color matches - continued

I hope you aren't getting bored visiting my blog to get a daily update! Don't forget my raffle for a $10.95 retail value set (the details were in my monthly newsletter - let me know if you don't get it!)...that ends August 31.

This paper package continues to be one of my favorites! It's especially nice for fall, don't you think?

Cardstock Matches - cha cha cha!

Today has been super hectic...dropped off a Caeser pasta/romaine lettuce salad for the teacher's luncheon (it looked great! Got the idea at the deli counter at Whole Foods); tried to meet my sister and her kids at the National Zoo in Washington DC and after two attempts to drive there finally gave up since my Google map directions were for the first time, worthless; finished up school supply shopping, bought another pair of funky Converse for my tween and raced over to the school for my son's Open House. Phew...now I am home with laundry to wash, fold and just a general picking up of the house. But first...I have to post another cardstock color match!

Oh...I can't forget football practice tonight either. I know your days are equally busy...hang in there, it's almost the weekend!

Cardstock Color Matches - continued...

I forgot to mention that our inks match too, of course! You can find the Versamagic Chalk and Palette ink matches within the catalog pages with each paper family.

I hope you are enjoying these color combinations as much as I do. Often I grab my Tombow markers or Prismacolored pencils to match these color schemes to get perfect results in my coloring. Well, near perfect! tee hee...

Cardstock Color Matches

Cool beans! We've always insisted that The Angel Company did have matching cardstock, and now here is an easy chart to see it and follow. I will be posting these color families daily and will feature some blog candy at the end.

In the meantime, enjoy!

PS. Did I mention how much I love TAC's exclusive paper?!? It's great!

Card "Rejects"

When I first started my blog, I bragged a bit about having some cards make the catalog. I thought I would share my other entries that did not make the cut! I still like them and hope you will too!

Sharing

I got my Surprise Box last night (haven't opened it yet -- tease, tease!!) and my Woodrowe Special. What a great kit to get for just $49.95!! I had to share the measurements of the stamps because you wouldn't appreciate it otherwise!

The 15th was the last day to order the Surprise Box and Just Dreamy angel special...another great favorite of mine! I have made 4 cards already and 10 gift tags with it. I see that set getting a lot of loving! If you missed ordering, please let me know today and I'll try and sneak (um, place!) your order yet.

I've also been busy stamping some special order cards. I was lucky enough to get a "commission" for a retirement card and that led to 4 more cards, then an order of 5 and now 6 more. I was only charging $2 but the ladies insisted on paying me $3. Yippee! I have also made an effort to decorate envelopes and the insides of the card...small, but powerful touches!

Teen birthday card (retired TAC sets)

and here's the inside, complete with gift card pocket!

Tagged

My talented and creative downline, Karen, tagged me! Be sure to visit her blog because I am always inspired by it! http://karensescape.blogspot.com/

So now in turn, I'd like to introduce you to some more blogs!

Awna...she's so inspiring. I met Awna via TAC and have always loved her work...and her zest for life. Despite her medical battles, she always is upbeat. You may have seen Awna's work published, yup, she's that good! http://allinkdup.blogspot.com/

Risa. I wouldn't say I'm a stalker, but I do visit her blog and SCS gallery almost daily!! She is so creative and also very giving. Although we only spoke via emails for almost 2 years, I finally picked up the phone a couple of weeks ago and we had a great talk! Another great TAC friend!

Susan...you have to visit Susan's site. You never know what she is up to and I love her sassy attitude! I met Susan via SCS and am thrilled she joined my TAC team. She has a real flair for card making and I'm still waiting on the Christmas card she threatened (um, promised!) to send me! http://getting-inky.blogspot.com/

Stacy. I don't know Stacy personally but she is active on Paperwings and has an incredible Etsy store...again, a super talented TAC lady!! If you want to get your creative juices flowing, be sure to visit her blog! http://stacy.typepad.com/angel2389/

and Shannon. I've know Shannon for years...first met when she lived in Georgia, then she moved up close to me and we'd meet half way in the Michaels parking lot and then she moved to Texas. My biggest regret is that I never got to stamp with Shannon. Her creations are beyond beautiful...I mean you actually have to hold them to appreciate the work that goes into them. Shannon has been busy with her 3 kids over the summer but I know she'll be updating her blog soon. It's well worth the time to keep peeking in on her! Oh, and Shannon is on my team too! woo hoo!! http://www.shannonspears.blogspot.com/

Nature Scenes and Surprise Boxes!

I was visiting my folks in upper Wisconsin with the kids and tried my hand at some photography of "nature". Nothing fancy, of course, but it was so peaceful and pretty up there. Now I am back to the hub-bub of "city life" and my son started football practice. Which means I sit for 2 hours per day watching over him...I'll have to stamp out some images to bring with and color!

Did you know that Surprise Boxes were back? As always, folks are thrilled...here is what two folks had to say:

I received mine on Monday. YEAH, I was very pleased. The Vituri black bag, 2 Kaleidescope Brigts, a 12x12 green CS pack, ink, lots of embellishments, and more!

I got mine today and I must say I was not lucky enough to get a vituri bag (but I have one and love it), but I did get some great stuff. 4 Designer Collections, 2 Wing It Collections, Thick Cuts bookplates die, set of Impress Pastel markers, white matchbook cards & envelopes, tag book, edge distresser, 3 pks. photo turns, 2 pks ribbon charms, 2 pks buttons, some eyelets, a Pazzles Chalk applicator tool plus extra little poms, edge distresser, a pkg of the 97% Complete tags, Stazon pad, Opalite pad and 2 (more) TAC "Groovy Bug" insulated mugs. Some of the items I have no idea what the retail value is, but I would say the retail value of my package was over $150.

And I just ordered the Woodrowe special because it was just too much good "stuff" for such a low price! See below if you missed the details...especially about the free drawing part!!
