I also want to share a card that I made this week...it was so much fun and I got to combine atleast 3-4 new sets for this card! My Scor Pal made the scoring super easy -- so if you haven't gotten one yet, you should really consider it during TAC's Double Dip promotion! And the SUPER good news is that they have EXTENDED this special through 3 Dec!! It's totally amazing and just in time for Christmas. You can wrap it and stick it right under the tree and not feel guilty at all!! Have a safe and sweet Halloween...

Fall is here!

We had an exciting weekend here...early morning, cold weather, trees surrounding a wet and muddy football field in a beautiful mix of colors...it was either the last game of the season for my son's football team, or just the beginning of the play off season. They did it! So that means more football practices ahead but they are happy and as team mom, it gives me a little more time to plan a victory party and coaches gifts! tee hee...

In between all of this, I actually had some time to stamp! I cut out about 5 new sets this weekend and got them in CD cases (found some at Big Lots -- 10 for $2.49!). I love this new set and it worked perfectly with some scraps I had left over from making my catalog entries with. The twine, I thought, made it extra "fallish", and watercoloring with tombow markers is the quickest and easiest method I know to color.

Busy, busy!

Sorry for the lack of posts this past week. The Angel Company had another Design Call for it's new catalog to be released late in January...and I couldn't resist. I just mailed off 6 cards and am waiting on some ribbon I ordered to finish the last entry. At first I was really timid and didn't think I could come up with something this year (pressure!!) but luckily my ideas kicked in and I'm pretty pleased with the results. Cross your fingers for me!!

Now to share some Stamp of the Month cards I just came up with. Sheila (an out of state customer) approached me with the idea of having a long distance workshop. I told her it was a super idea and I've done it before...one gal in Michigan had invited some 18 ladies and made it a potluck affair. I provided a simple make and take project and she ended up with a $500 party...and during double rewards, that is very REWARDING!! So let me know if you ever want to share TAC with a group of your friends - I'm happy to work with you.

Our Scarlet #80 Cardstock V-237 with the Miss Moxie V-841 Soar with it Collection (Cha Cha V-832 works well too here!) The Scor Pal makes a terrific little border, don't you think?
You won't go wrong with our Kraft Cardstock V-244 (also #80 weight - these are for those of you who love SU cardstock; you won't be disappointed with ours!) and the Sands of Time collection (another favorite!) V-828.

Lastly, Rustic Chic V-928 is a 8x8 paper pack of 36 pages and 12 designs!! I use it all the time...here I paired it with Die Cuts with a View, Green #2, V-99 which you can purchase 25 sheets to a pack. Perfect for mass production of cards or when you have a favorite color.

Here's a moment of truth for me. I've been with The Angel Company for over 6 years now but until the past two years, I had never really wanted to spend money for paper, I just wanted stamps! But I finally tried a sampling of what we have to offer and I love it. I am embarrassed that it took me so long, but I now own almost every paper pack/collection we carry! I know you won't be disappointed in the quality of the papers, the texture in so many of them, the over all value and selection. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to ask me!

I'm Back!

We had a lovely get away weekend trip to West Point, New York where my husband celebrated his 20th year reunion. The fall colors were beautiful...can you believe I forgot my camera? Almost as tragic as the time we were at the Grand Canyon and I found out afterwards that there was NO film in my camera. argh....

Some housekeeping type info...there is a new Bind It All machine in town! The Bind-It-All manufacturers have now remanufactured the tool to have a pink body style. The tool looks and works exactly the same, yet has a couple new features. The new design is able to punch through thicker material, and has an extension on the paper guide bar and plate. It is now a soft pink where it used to be a turquoise blue. To view a photo of the pink Bind-it-All go to the Products section of E-Commerce, click on Accessories, then click on Tools. From there, scroll down to the Bind-It-All.The packaging that the product will arrive in is also slightly different. The new color helps to distinguish the newer version of the Bind-It-All from older versions. The new Bind-It-All pricing will be $80.95. This price change will take place immediately.

And now to share some more cards from my recent card class...these are all using papers and stamps from TAC!

WHOO...

There is definately an owl craze out there right now, eh?! Still, I couldn't resist this little guy that was part of the new Fall Fun set. And, combined with the Owl words...my possiblities will be endless. I was really inspired by Heidi's card on SCS (pinkhedgehog). I knew I wanted to try a Zindorf background but was a bit nervous and her card pushed me over the edge to give it a try! It's super easy...the key was to use different inks and those great hydro sponges we carry. Here I used Palette inks: sunflower, burnt sienna, iris and starry night... Hope you'll give it a try too! It was important to mask the owl and then the moon. And did you recognize that branch? It's the tree trunk from Springtime!

Have a great weekend!

October Stamp of the Month...

is perfect! What a great deal at only $5.95 ... I can't wait to order it myself. And be sure to check out the amazing samples at the TAC homepage!

You also don't want to miss this month's drawing for another great giveaway package from TAC!! I never thought about it, but the Moxie / Roxie papers are perfect for Halloween and so is the stamp set they are including with the papers!!

Lastly, I wanted to share one of the cards we made at my class. I think it's perfect for fall and it features one of the FREE Gift With Purchase stamps and a hostess Level A stamp set that you can earn by having a workshop order...remember, that this month you will earn double rewards!! It was super simple but it packs a lot of punch with the monochromatic colors, I think!!

Ribbon!!

Do you love ribbon? I do! I still have some old skeens of yarn left over from the fiber craze but the ribbon seems to have outlasted just being a "fade"...don't you think? I hope so!

My ribbon was falling out of boxes and dangling off of shelves. Since my "craft" room is the laundry/furnace room as well, there was just no space anywhere! I had just put out a big UTZ pretzel container from Costco and thought how it reminded me of those pretty ribbon jars (I do have one of those too with little spools of left over ribbon pieces...I never seem to grab it). So I filled it up with all of the ribbons I had bought...since I've taken this picture, I've added even more! I love it though. I can grab it and go anywhere I happen to be stamping in the house. I think the gals that come over to stamp with me love to dig around inside of it too!

this is about 14 inches tall!

I happen to buy my ribbon from Heidi, http://www.pinkhedgehogpapercrafts.com/. I'm not affiliated with her but I'm happy to say we've been friends for many years when we met early in the morning online on SCS. And, I was even a guest designer for her, once way back when...

Today I will be busy finalizing my cards for Friday's "I need a card right now!" class I am having. I had better get busy cutting because I'm expecting 10 fun ladies to stop by. I can't wait to share them with you (the cards, not the ladies!)...
