Showers of Love

It's funny because the set that I "least loved" from my preorder of Serendipity (aka Magalogue!) sets was Showers of Love...but now I have lots of ideas pouring in my head. (ha ha - I know, my kids think I'm lame too with my jokes!) Anyways, I pulled it out for this quick card and just submitted a card for one of TAC's monthly card contests (for demos only - sorry, but wish me luck!!)

I used the Mimi collection for this card...and some lime green scrapper's floss. I'm addicted to it lately!

Here's another little girl from the Everything's Blooming set plus I combined it with You Are, another "least favorite" set until I used it!! Does that ever happen to you?! Anyways, I combined it with the Cha Cha paper pack and dared to use a huge flower on top...I have a very hard time using flowers, even though I keep buying them and trying them. :)

UPDATE!! I only have 3 magalogues left but I just faxed in an order for 25 more copies. First come, first served but I want to warn you that I will be out of the net through Sunday as I'm flying out to Illinois for my cousin's wife memorial service.

Okay...a few more!

Just a few more sneak peaks of Serendipity, our new TAC Magalogue! I preordered 70 magalogues and have only 20 left...they are going like hot cakes!

Mabelle is a special designer for The Angel Company and there is a sprinkling of her wonderful R coded stamps through out Serendipity!

I loved the Damask look forever and will be snatching up this set quickly...with a few more!

I'll be back on Friday with a card...be sure to check out yesterday's post with more sneak peaks!

Love it!

I'm not talking about the first snow storm of the season (shoveled the driveway three times today!!) but the kids had a blast. :)

I am talking about the new Magalogue! If you preordered your catalog or had a $30 purchase in January - they are going in the mail first thing in the morning. I've been busy all afternoon addressing envelopes. If you haven't ordered your Magalogue yet...DO IT!! It's like nothing you've seen before. Here are few sneak peaks - including new Hostess sets -- and they are great. I mean they make you wanna have a party! :)

Hostess Level A sets...

Hostess Level B sets...

and a really cute Monkey set.

But don't worry - there are plenty of styles of images in this new Magalogue, including more swirls, elegant and victorian styles, graphic designs and more. Magalogues retail for $2.95 plus shipping but I am offering a special price of $2.50 (shipped with in the US) and $3.00 for international.

One year "better" - sure...

Yikes...it's my birthday!! I wanted to share my celebration with you and so I'm offering some blog candy - it'll be open until Sunday, midnight, and just leave me a comment about what your family does as a special birthday tradition. In our house, we creep into the dark bedroom of whom ever is celebrating their birthday (in our home only, of course, don't worry!!) early in the morning with the cake and the bright, bright flames of the birthday candles, singing Happy Birthday. What a way to wake up! Early in our marriage my husband used trick candles for me -some of my hair ended up catching on fire and then in desperation he threw the candles into our faux marble bathroom sink, only for the sink to get singed. The kids loved to hear the story over and over...

In a few days it's also my Dad's birthday and I used the Wednesday sketch challenge on SCS to get me started. This uses the Penelope cardstock and patterned paper from TAC, as well as our Kraft paper! I even decorated the inside of the card...luckily they love what ever card I make for them. :)

Lastly, I'm so appreciative of the love and support I've received from you since my last post...from those of you who commented, sent me emails or said a quiet prayer, it means a lot.

Life...

I'm quite sad today because my cousin's wife Janine lost her battle with cancer this morning. I can hardly bear it because she was my age and leaves behind two children that depended on her and loved her dearly. What is even harder to comprehend is that my cousin has now lost both parents (also to cancer) and now his wife in less than a year and a half. If you would say a prayer for Fred and his family today, I know he will feel it's comfort.

It feels strange to shift gears but I did want to share just a few more cards with you today...the new Magalogue is just around the corner and I know the owner of The Angel Company, Mischelle is super excited about it. That makes me excited to see what awaits us and I should have my pre order of Magalogues here next week some time.

This is inspired by Michelle Zindorf's style - I used an emboss marker to highlight just the butterfly and the flowers and then clear embossed them with a heat gun. It looks spectacular in the sun.

This card is quite bright...I used BIC markers to color in the image and then had to figure out a layout for the card. How do you make your cards? Papers first and then color? Or color and then scrounge desperately for the right papers? I went to a card I had in my SCS gallery that actually inspired a Wednesday Sketch Challenge. Pretty cool, huh?

Winter Wishes - cold birdy!

I love this bird in the tree stamp from Early Bird, a special set in TAC's Wonderful Wintery Wishes offering -- these stamps are only available until 2 Feb! Thanks Barb for sending me some images, I couldn't wait to get started...

I used Toodle Loo paper from TAC and some buffalo snow from Michaels. The Ric Rac ribbon is from Heidi's Pink Hedgehog store and "sing" is from a retired TAC set.

PS. I tried embossing "Hello winter" in white under the word sing but I should have stopped while I was ahead because it didn't turn out well at all! :( This is my "fix" since everything was glued down tight already...but I find it a miracle that even in the cold and snow birds will sing so it's appropriate, I think!

Sing - Everyday!

I need to remind myself of this saying...I love the new Beautiful Day set coming out in the Magalogue (1 feb -- hip hip hooray!!). It's been a tough week and I find some comfort in this card...hope you like it! It was easy to make using our Lilly Anna printed and solid cardstock packs.

Only 10 more days left of TAC's incredible 50% off sale!! Let me know if you need more details, I'm happy to help you out.

Yes...more cards!

Here's one that is a bit more "elegant" and back to one more cutsy! I've used all TAC papers here and that pretty red felt flower is from our Ava embellishments jar! Please let me know if you need more information on our 50% off sale (ends 26 Jan!), these papers or the new Magalogue that goes live on 1 Feb! It's also a great time to think about getting your own wings!

New stamps are in the house!!

and can you believe I cut my finger trimming them?! Ouch! Luckily no gushing blood but it's still painful.

I still can't resist smiling at these cute new stamps - Little Stinkers! They make it so easy to whip up a fun, quick card. Here I used two of TAC's exclusive 8x8 paper pads...and they made it even easier! I'm really thankful that Awna told me that BIC markers were as good as COPICs...she saved me lots of money and if you want some bright, bold color I grab these.

I'm busy playing with some of my other new Magalogue stamps and will be posting them this week...but if you want to see the sneak peaks in print, just go here: http://allamericanstampers.blogspot.com/search/label/sneak%20peaks

I am still taking preorders for the Magalogue and don't forget that I will send it to you for FREE with a $30 order this month!

Last sneak peak!

I figured I better post these before I get my stamps in the mail and can start making some samples!
I must say that I am really excited by the selection...hm...what else will await us on those 48 pages of new stamps and accessories in the Magalogue?

Don't forget to scroll down to some of my older posts to learn more about the 50% off sale and the details on the Magalogue...

Here's a quick card I just made -- more scraps!
I love Deco Designs and our Kraft paper... :) The "thank you" is a retired set. I had a card favorited in my SCS gallery...which I "stamp lifted". Now they call it "CASE" but here's the inspiration! http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/899289?cat=fav
Thanks for stopping by today!

Finally, a card again!

It's hard to tell from this picture but when you open this card, the green strip is left showing on the base of the card. Yup, that's about as close as I get to decorating the inside of a card! :)

It's a great layout though for using up scraps of paper. I have managed to collect quite a few scraps so that's always a good feeling!

And, as promised, some more sneak peaks of the upcoming sets in the new magalogue!

Don't forget -- tomorrow TAC starts it's first ever 50% off sale! Details below if you haven't read all about it yet! Be sure to contact me directly so that you don't miss out on any benefits...

2009 - can it be, already?!?

Happy New Year!!

I hope that 2009 will bring you a year full of blessings, health and happiness...

Sadly I never make New Year's resolutions because I am "weak" and tend not to carry any of them out! That being said, this year I am really going to try at being more organized and have more time to stamp and "create"...not just whip out a quick card because I need to get it out in the mail. I know that's probably a battle that many of you struggle with as there are so many demands on our time. I also want to work on re-establishing the friendships I've made in stamping. I know I don't talk to my folks nearly enough so I know I am really neglecting many of you!!

Well...how much excitement can you take in the New Year? Because...I've got lots of last minute breaking news to share!

First, the winner of my overseas only blog candy is: Alanna Harris
